2021 was a successful year for NWBDA and we were able to help a lot of small businesses. See the highlights of our year –

Tom and May turned to the SBA 504 program to help finance their 3rd Thai Bamboo restaurant construction project with NWBDA.

NWBDA is delighted to support Economic Development Alliance of Skagit County (EDASC) as they provide entrepreneurial support and workforce development.

Spokane Community College: Running Start for Careers, who provide scholarships for low income students to earn a college trade degree and high school diploma at the same time.

NWBDA is delighted to provide HopeWorks with a grant! They create and operate social enterprise businesses designed to provide paid training programs for low income residents.

NWBDA’s support will allow Central Oregon Veterans Ranch to increase outreach to veterans and connect them to vocational opportunities.

NWBDA Grant Recipient – Teen & Kid Closet, who cater to youth in need, providing them with good quality clothing and accessories for free. 

The SBA 504 Loan Program has reached its authorized approval cap of $7.5 billion for the fiscal year (through September 30, 2021).

SBA has published its official guidelines for the 504 Debt Refi Program, which applies the changes that were proposed in the Economic Aid Act

SBA’s 504 loan approval turnaround times currently average over 22 business days, but NWBDA believes that we will be seeing improved turnaround times soon

The SBA 504 Loan program helped Viviana purchase the building of her grocery store. SBA helps dreams come true!

The SBA 504 Program provided fast growing small business, NanaMacs, the ability to buy the necessary space for them to continue to expand.
