In 2016, Jeremy Chatfield started a dental practice in Paradise California. But then in late 2018, the Paradise California wildfires ripped through the whole town and destroyed almost everything, including Jeremy’s dental practice and home. Rather than start over in California, the Chatfield family decided to relocate to northern Idaho. Also at that time, Jeremy made a slight change in career paths. Instead of starting a new general dental practice, he decided to open a specialized dental sleep apnea and breathing wellness practice.
Dr. Chatfield has practiced dentistry since graduating from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2003. Although he trained in all aspects of dentistry, he always had a passion for treating patients suffering from sleep breathing disorders. He went through extensive training and educational courses specifically focused on treating the root causes of sleep disorders. His new company, Just Breathe DDS, serves sleep apnea patients from Hayden, Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls, Rathdrum and Spokane County.
Because Dr. Chatfield had to start over, he was not eligible for conventional loan, however, he was able to utilizes the SBA 504 Program through the guidance of Evan Heriot and Washington Trust Bank. The program helped him purchase an office building and the surrounding land while providing him with the ability to renovate the office to fit the needs of his new practice. Now, Jeremy and his family love their new location and are thrilled to live in an area surrounded by beautiful lakes and snowy hills.
