Evan’s Projects

Cascade Automation

From its inception, Cascade Automation embarked on a trajectory of expansion, continuously augmenting its product and service portfolio to align with its unwavering commitment to the industrial process control domain! Travis, the owner, envisions a thriving future of industrial excellence for the company, which drove his decision to seize the opportunity to acquire a dedicated building and property for his business. This monumental step was made possible through a partnership with Evan Heriot, NWBDA and Umpqua Bank, leveraging the SBA 504 Program.

Brightways Counseling Group

Brightways Counseling Group was founded in August of 2017 by Kevin & Angie Shaw. Brightways is Central Oregon’s premiere counseling group offering whole person care. The company rapidly grew and as they received more referrals and clients, they had to hire several more therapists and staff members to keep up with their growth. Brightways worked with Summit Bank and Evan Heriot to obtain SBA 504 financing to purchase two of the facilities they had been leasing in Redmond and Madras Oregon. By utilizing the 504 program, Brightways was able to stabilize and lower their occupancy expense as well as provide them with additional space that they can grow into over time without having to relocate.

Thai Bamboo Restaurant

Thai Bamboo was opened in 2001 by Tom and Matavee “May” Burgess and have served more than a million Thai Entrees to the communities of Spokane and CDA. Tom and May chose NWBDA and the 504 program in 2019 to finance the construction of their fourth restaurant on the South Hill in Spokane, WA,  in the neighborhood where Tom grew up. With Evan Heriot and First Interstate Bank’s help and by utilizing the 504 program’s low fixed rates and the 25-year term, Tom and May are able to have control over the restaurant’s long-term ability to operate from this building and control their occupancy costs.

Despite the unique obstacles of the pandemic and COVID-19 restrictions, the South Hill construction project took a year to complete and it coincided with Thai Bamboo’s 20th Anniversary!

NanaMacs Clothing

NanaMacs Clothing Co. is an online apparel retailer based out of Post Falls, Idaho. The company was started by Susan and Jeremy Shute in 2013. The business started small, operating only out of a 3,000 square foot garage. In 2017, they moved into a much larger location and made it a joint office and warehouse space. NanaMacs quickly outgrew that space in only a couple of years, so they started looking for an even larger building, with sales growth is projected to be strong and is anticipated to continue to expand over the next five years. Evan Heriot helped walk them through the SBA 504 Program, along with Mountain West Bank, which provided the fast-growing small business the ability to leave their smaller leased location, and buy an empty lot to build a warehouse/office space. Doing this provided the necessary space for the business to continue to expand over the next several years as it continues to grow.
