Elizabeth’s Projects

McGinness Family Insurance

Cameron McGinness is the owner of McGinness Family Insurance. Elizabeth, along Heritage Bank, helped Cameron purchase a building for his growing practice. The SBA 504 Loan Program provided an option to control the business’ occupancy costs, with a small down payment and low fixed interest rate for the life of the loan, which is 25 years! NWBDA was thrilled that we could assist Cameron in purchasing a building that he can call his own!

“Owning commercial property has always been a goal of mine. The SBA 504 program, NWBDA and Heritage bank guided me to secure a commercial office for my Insurance Business. My team and my customers absolutely love our new location.”Cameron McGinness (Owner, McGinness Family Insurance)

Alex the Cat Groomer

Alex Perry is a former construction worker who had trouble finding work after the 2008 housing crash, when he began grooming cats. Alex discovered that he loved it! Several years later, Alex acquired the grooming division of Cozy Cat Boarding & Grooming in 2015 and rebranded the name to Alex the Cat Groomer. But Alex soon found out that he needed to find a new facility and relocate. He needed a long-term solution fairly quickly, but didn’t have the equity injection required for a conventional bank loan. With the help of Elizabeth Rusnak, Zions First National Bank, and the SBA 504 Loan Program, Alex was able to purchase a building in Bothell. Now, his business can grow and thrive!

Kiddie Academy Seattle

Founded almost 40 years ago, Kiddie Academy is an educational childcare center located in Seattle, Washington. Their mission is to shape, fuel, and nurture children’s natural curiosity. When Kiddie Academy was provided with the opportunity to buy the building that they were leasing in Seattle, they turned to Elizabeth, Peoples Bank, and the SBA 504 Loan Program to purchase the land, the building, and make building improvements. Kiddie Academy was able to significantly lower their monthly building payment because of the low interest rate and the long loan term offered by the 504 program. Now, Kiddie Academy is able to focus on growing their small business and providing excellent childcare services to the people of Seattle.

Sound Cedar Lumber

Sound Cedar Lumber Company is a family owned and operated business that has specialized in providing high quality building materials for over 35 years. They are located in Mount Vernon, WA and ship their products all over the world. Not eligible for conventional financing, they were able to utilize the SBA 504 Loan Program to purchase the land and building that they had been leasing. This purchase was necessary for Sound Cedar Lumber’s long-term ability to operate from their facility and control their long-term occupancy costs. Elizabeth Rusnak and SaviBank were able to lead Sound Cedar Lumber through the 504 Program, which provides them the potential to expand and grow their team and business.
